Neurorreabilitação com o Método Padovan® em recém-nascidos com síndrome alcoólica fetal: relato de 2 casos

Introdução: Intervenções precoces podem moldar atividades cerebrais dependentes da neuroplasticidade. O Método Padovan® vem sendo estudado e utilizado como alternativa terapêutica na reabilitação de recém-nascidos com comprometimento neurológico, principalmente déficits de sucção. Relato do caso: Dois Recém-nascidos com diagnóstico de Síndrome alcoólica fetal apresentando irritabilidade e disfunção na sucção, em fonoterapia convencional sem melhora. Foram submetidos ao método uma vez ao dia, cinco dias por semana com ótimos resultados. Conclusões: O Método Padovan® foi eficaz no estabelecimento da sucção em três semanas e sua utilização mais precoce pode contribuir com menor tempo de internação.
