Internações por dorsopatias na população adulta no estado do Rio Grande do Sul de 2008 a 2016

Introdução: Dorsopatia é o termo utilizado para descrever disfunções da coluna vertebral. Em função da possibilidade de aumento da ocorrência de dorsopatias e da ausência de estudos sobre seus custos. Objetivos: descrever a tendência das internações por dorsopatias na população acima de 20 anos e seus custos financeiros no estado do Rio Grande do Sul de 2008-2016. Métodos: realizou-se análise de série histórica. Os dados foram coletados da base de dados DATASUS, e as informações populacionais obtidas por meio do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística. Elaboraram-se coeficientes de internações por dorsopatias em cada ano por local de residência e seus custos. Padronizaram-se os coeficientes pelo método direto. Realizou-se análise de tendência pela Binomial Negativa. Resultados: identificaram-se 11.656 internações por dorsopatias, em que o maior coeficiente se observou em 2008. Na análise, a tendência manteve-se estável. No período, os maiores coeficientes de internação ocorreram no sexo feminino, em cinco anos estudados. Nos cinco anos estudados, encontrou-se predomínio e maior custo de internações hospitalares na faixa etária de 40 a 59 anos. O tempo médio de permanência hospitalar foi de 6,8 dias, a maior média observada foi na população acima de 60 anos. O custo médio das internações foi de R$ 2.128.400,00. Conclusão: as dorsopatias apresentaram baixa frequência de internações, porém geraram custos ao sistema de saúde. O investimento em tratamentos conservadores pode contribuir para evitar superlotação em hospitais e alto custo ao Estado. Logo, deve-se investir em programas de promoção, prevenção e reabilitação.
