Efeitos do jejum intermitente no peso corporal e perfil lipídico em Rattus norvergicus

Objetivo: verificar as possíveis alterações no peso corporal e perfil lipídico em ratos submetidos a jejum intermitente. Métodos: foram utilizados ratos Wistar da espécie Rattus norvergicus (n=24), divididos por grupos. Um grupo teste (6 machos e 6 fêmeas), submetidos ao jejum intermitente de 42 dias, e um grupo controle (6 machos e 6 fêmeas) com alimentação ad libitum de igual período. O jejum utilizado foi realizado em regime de dias alternados (24h) e com água disponível durante todo o estudo e sem prática de exercícios. Foi realizada a dosagem sérica de colesterol total, triglicerídeos e HDL, além do peso corporal antes e após a conclusão do estudo em todos os grupos. Os resultados foram analisados para um índice de significância de p<0,05. Resultados: o grupo teste não apresentou significância para a variação do peso corporal tanto em machos quanto em fêmeas que praticaram o JI; índices séricos de triglicerídeos se mostraram, estatisticamente, menores tanto em fêmeas (t(10)=3.856; p=0.003179) quanto em machos (t(10)=4.192; p=0.001853) em comparação ao controle. Não houve significância no HDL e no colesterol total entre os machos. Em contrapartida, as fêmeas apresentaram aumento significativo do HDL (t(10)=3.348; p= 0.007394) e redução, significativamente, estatística (de t(10)=2.867; p=0.016758) do colesterol total. Conclusão: o emprego do jejum intermitente se mostrou eficaz no controle do peso e do triglicerídeo em ambos os sexos e eficaz para o aumento do HDL em fêmeas.
