Abstract

Objective: this study aims to analyze the epidemiological incidence of leukemias and lymphomas in Northern Brazil between 2013 and 2023. Methods: we conducted a quantitative analysis of data extracted from the Brazilian Unified Health System’s Informatics Department (DATASUS) and the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). Results: 9,009 cases were recorded, with leukemias showing a higher incidence than lymphomas in most states. Males were predominantly more affected, and a significant proportion of cases clustered in children and adolescents. Notably, 2021 had the highest number of incident cases, particularly in the state of Pará. Conclusion: these findings can aid in monitoring chronic diseases in Brazil and inform effective public health policies to combat these conditions. It is especially relevant given the relative scarcity of research on hematological cancers in Northern Brazil
