This paper contextualizes the emergence of educational initiatives on cannabis in Argentine universities, taking as references both the actions of cannabis social organizations and the creation of a regulatory framework for the medicinal use of cannabis and its derivatives with the Medicinal Cannabis Law No. 27350, passed in March 2017. To account for this process, particular consideration is given to the experiences of promoting, designing, and developing three extension courses between 2022 and 2024, the result of collaboration between the Cogollos Córdoba Civil Association, the Extension Department of the School of Philosophy and Humanities of the National University of Córdoba, and the Free University of the Environment, dependent on the Municipality of Córdoba, Argentina. It is argued that the implementation of these proposals enables the university to engage with various social groups and raise awareness of the knowledge produced by cannabis activists, as well as promoting the recognition of their rights.
