Efeitos da orientação nutricional, de curto prazo, sobre variáveis dietéticas e econômicas de escolares

Objetivo: avaliar os efeitos da orientação nutricional, de curto prazo, sobre variáveis dietéticas e econômicas de escolares. Métodos: avaliou-se o tempo da ingestão da alimentação escolar, antes e depois do emprego de orientações nutricionais, de crianças com excesso de peso, e os custos dos alimentos trazidos de casa. Trabalhou-se várias atividades de orientações nutricionais para aumentar o tempo da ingestão alimentar e melhorar a qualidade dos alimentos consumidos durante o recreio escolar. Os valores do tempo de ingestão alimentar foram comparados pelo teste de Wilcoxon, a 5%. Resultados: o tempo de ingestão da alimentação escolar aumentou (p<0,05) apenas entre os meninos com sobrepeso. Os custos com a alimentação reduziram após a intervenção nutricional na maioria dos avaliados, e ocorreu a substituição dos alimentos com elevados teores de açúcares e gorduras, por aqueles ricos em fibras e vitaminas. Conclusão: não houve o aumento do tempo da ingestão alimentar na maioria das crianças avaliadas, porém ocorreu um maior consumo de frutas e iogurte, e reduziu-se a ingestão de refrigerantes, bem como os custos com os alimentos oriundos do domicílio.Downloads
