INCORPORAÇÃO DA BIOMIMÉTICA NA GESTÃO DE PROJETOS DE INOVAÇÃO TECNOLÓGICA: ANÁLISE DE UMA EXPERIÊNCIA CORPORATIVA

A biomimética compreende a área que estuda os princípios criativos e estratégias da natureza, visando à criação de soluções para os problemas e necessidades da humanidade, unindo funcionalidade, estética e sustentabilidade. Vários trabalhos científicos apontam para o desenvolvimento de inovações tecnológicas a partir da inspiração dos fenômenos biológicos para o desenvolvimento de produtos. Para a compreensão deste processo, o trabalho apresentou o estudo de caso da empresa Festo do Brasil, realizado a partir de entrevistas presenciais nos meses de junho e julho de 2017 com gerentes das áreas de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento (P&D) e Novos Negócios. Os dados obtidos por entrevista foram complementados pelo acesso aos materiais institucionais fornecidos pela empresa. Por meio do estudo de caso, foi possível constatar que a empresa iniciou o desenvolvimento de projetos biomiméticos no ano de 2006, em sua unidade sede, localizada na Alemanha. A área de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento (P&D) pode ser destacada como vértice central desse sistema, posto que esse setor influenciou ativamente o processo de inovação tecnológica das empresas e domina o estado da arte das novas tecnologias. Além disso, a criação de parcerias com universidades e pesquisadores foi de grande valia para potencializar o conhecimento sobre o biomimetismo a partir de bases científicas. Não obstante, para internalizar a prática da biomimética nas organizações, é indispensável que já haja na empresa um processo sistemático de gestão de inovação vigente, dado que a abordagem do biomimetismo exige uma estrutura tecnológica e organizacional adensada e requer altos investimentos em pesquisa, desenvolvimento e adaptação dos aparatos de produção, cujos ciclos de desenvolvimento se mostram mais extensivos do que se comparados aos ciclos de desenvolvimento de produtos sem a abordagem biomimética presente.
