Since the Third Industrial Revolution, when work ceased to be task-focused, requiring professionals with a set of skills beyond the technical skills for their function, several organizational and scientific studies have emerged pointing out the gap about the essential skills that professionals should develop, as well as the importance of requalification of workers, as having professionals with the right skills is synonymous with a competitive advantage. With the advancement of Society in Digital Transformation and its growing adoption of new technologies, the research question arises: what would be the general competencies that professionals in the industrial sector of Society in Digital Transformation need to develop? In this context, this research aims to identify the General Competencies required of professionals in the industrial sector of the Society in Digital Transformation. To this end, theoretical-empirical research was carried out, using exploratory bibliographic research and the systematic literature review method to identify the skills suggested by science, by the focus group technique and interviews with experts to verify the consistency of the results and validation of the General Competencies proposed in the field. The result achieved was a Matrix of General Skills required of professionals in the industrial sector of Society in Digital Transformation.
