Abstract

The current work situation in organizations has brought leaders a series of challenges that require new management strategies, resulting in the appreciation of internal communication. With the main focus on adapting to the LGPD (General Data Protection Law) and strengthening the bond between managers and staff, this article aims to describe the perceptions and formats used by managers when transmitting a message to their team and identifying their knowledge and adaptation to the precepts generated by the LGPD in internal communication. Qualitative, descriptive, and case study research was used. Data collection was carried out through an online questionnaire with twelve questions, with the target audience being managers of a footwear company in the city of Novo Hamburgo/RS. It is possible to see that most managers consider internal communication to be regular, and they are not aware of the LGPD, just as how to protect their data and that of their employees. Thus, suggestions were listed for the company to contribute to improving the communication and implementation of the LGDP.
