Abstract

This article examines the relationship between ISO 56001:2024 and artificial intelligence (AI) in innovation management, highlighting AI's potential to drive systemic and sustainable innovative processes. Through bibliographic research and analysis of the normative clauses, it was found that the standard provides a framework that supports the development, monitoring, and continuous improvement of innovation strategies. In turn, AI enhances each stage of this cycle by promoting automation, data analysis, risk prediction, and evidence-based decision-making. The integration of these technologies enables greater agility, creativity, and efficiency, aligning with principles of responsible, ethical, and sustainable management. Despite being an emerging field, the results demonstrate that combining standards and AI presents a transformative opportunity for organizations, contributing to both theoretical and practical advances in innovation management within the contemporary landscape.
