The aim of this study was to describe the importance of the “Digital Inclusion and Collaborative Learning in Canindé” project in reducing the digital divide and fostering local development. A qualitative and descriptive approach was used, applying a questionnaire to assess the community's IT knowledge. The results show a strong interest in learning basic computer and web tools. The discussion emphasizes the need to balance teacher training, infrastructure and curriculum for effective implementation of technologies. It is concluded that digital inclusion projects are essential for empowering the population and promoting social equity, and that more robust government investment is needed.
