Abstract

Women are increasingly conquering their space in the field of entrepreneurship. However, these businesswomen still face several barriers during their venture development. In this sense, this study aimed to evaluate the entrepreneurial skills of women entrepreneurs in the Federal District. The research with a quantitative approach was carried out with 108 women, measuring their entrepreneurial skills and human resilience. The results revealed that the main difficulties that women face are the lack of recognition of their skills as entrepreneurs and the perception of differentiated treatment for being women. The primary competencies developed were the demand for quality and efficiency, persistence, and commitment. As for resilience, the factors self-reliance and perseverance had the highest averages. The study found that women who have children do not have different skills from women who are not mothers. Finally, it was possible to infer that resilience explains the development of entrepreneurial skills.
