The objective of the study was to survey the scientific production of this sector of sustainability and innovation in industries of the red ceramic segment from 2000 to 2020. The procedures used were descriptive, bibliographical, and qualitative. The search for scientific production, which made up the bibliographic portfolio, was carried out in the CAPES Journal Portal database. The results of the systematic review indicate that there is a research trend in Local Productive Agglomerations (LPAs), without a red ceramic segment and an emphasis on concerns related to the activity. Innovation focused on sustainability was portrayed as a fundamental characteristic in modern productive associations. Within the red ceramic segment, the sustainability factor must be eminently incorporated with innovation. The red ceramic industry needs to work with these two factors to keep itself in a position to position itself in this segment of civil construction. It was found, through this research, that innovation aimed at sustainability without a red ceramic segment is indisputably necessary for organizations to position themselves in competitive conditions in the market, in search of growth, considering the advantages that these factors have proportionate.Downloads
