Analyzing whether brazilian sociobiodiversity contributes to the insertion of biojewelry producers in the international market corresponds to the general objective of this study. The specific objectives are: to verify which factors of brazilian sociobiodiversity contribute to adding value for biojewelry producers to enter the international market; to verify whether the insertion of brazilian biojewelry in the international market contributes to the formation of production chains of interests of traditional peoples and communities and family farmers; and to verify whether the production of biojewelry by traditional peoples and communities contributes to the manifestation of popular culture and their creative capacity. The qualitative, exploratory research made use of an interview script for data collection. The results show that, more than contributing to the insertion of bio-jewelry in the international market, socio-biodiversity has reiterated social, cultural and economic values; helping in the diversification of the pieces, increasing opportunities for producers.
