The rise of the management paradigm reflects the search for economic efficiency but also raises criticism for dehumanizing work relationships and causing ethical and environmental impacts. Critical theory in EORs questions this logic, exploring how excessive rationalization can dehumanize workers. The comparison between Holocaust practices and management, although delicate, offers insights into contemporary organizational cultures and the risks of prioritizing only economic results to the detriment of human and ethical well-being. This essay proposes a reflection on organizational practices from a critical lens, highlighting the dangers of an exclusively instrumental approach and defending a more sensitive view of the ethical and human dimensions of organizations.
