Abstract

By 2030, the world will reach the milestone of 74 million metric tons of electronic waste generated annually. However, the problems generated by economic activities can be mitigated by developing circular supply chain management for electronic waste. Despite the relevance of the topic, no manuscript linked to the context of the operations and production area was found. Thus, through the Web of Science database, a bibliometric review of 34 articles was carried out, followed by an assessment in VOSviewer of the relationships of authors, publications, countries, journals, and keywords, followed by a content analysis of the main articles. Finally, it offers a theoretical model of the steps of the operations area concerning the circular supply chain. In this context, normative issues prevail over the actions taken by organizations for the circular supply chain, as well as the opportunities arising from emerging technologies.
