Abstract

El autor analisa el problema de la violencia urbana y el deber del Estado de ofrecer la seguridad para la sociedad, tarefa que viene siendo negligenciada ultimamente. No es el caso de emplear medidas paliativas o de actuar com un discurso lleno de retórica, porque es clara la incapacidad de alcanzar resultados satisfactorios si no hay disposición política y sensibilización general para el problema. El crimen debe ser combatido con políticas criminales y sociales eficientes, de caracter eminentemente inclusivo, porque el crimen no es un problema exclusivo de seguridad pública.
