The aim of this study was to analyze the paradigmatic approach that guides the research on the environmental performance of organizations and to propose a new evaluation perspective that contemplates the Minorities of the Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM). Through a systematic analysis of the literature, it was verified that the work was dedicated to the measurement of indicators and the evaluation of performance in relation to the implementation of GSCM practices. It was identified that the studies were oriented by the positivist paradigm, and the perspective of evaluation of the own organizations studied was favored by most of the studies. To a lesser extent, the interpretation of client organizations and investors was followed. It was verified that the institutionalized agents are legitimized for the evaluation of the environmental performance of the organizations, which is not the case with non-institutional audiences, such as the community in general, which despite being affected by the environmental impacts of the organization's activities, figure as dominated in the environmental field and do not have sufficient capital to exercise power. In this sense, the study brings theoretical contributions insofar as it proposes the adoption of the social theory of Pierre Bourdieu as a new paradigmatic approach for the evaluation of the environmental performance of organizations from the habitus of the populations, which results in a useful device for mediation of environmental conflicts, both for management practice and for public policies.
