A questão da individualidade moderna na sociologia menor de G. Simmel

Num texto em homenagem a um dos autores clássicos do cânone da literatura ocidental, G. Deleuze e F. Guattari (1977) equivocam os hábitos da crítica literária ao caracterizarem a obra de seu homenageado, a saber, Franz Kafka, como sendo uma “literatura menor”. Em que consistiria, então, o minoritário, na obra de Kafka? Ou, o que seria uma literatura menor? Os autores apontam três características da literatura menor: ela introduz um coeficiente de desterritorialização no sistema da língua maior; trabalha num espaço exíguo, microscópico, no qual “cada caso individual é imediatamente ligado à política”, em contraponto à formação de blocos em amplo espaço da literatura maior; e aponta o “agenciamento coletivo de enunciação”, e nesse estado de “raridade”, “tudo adquire um valor coletivo”, permitindo conceber outra coisa que não “uma literatura dos mestres”. Opondo, assim a literatura menor à literatura maior, de mestres, os autores apontam, em seguida, que “grande e revolucionário, somente o menor”, e daí a pertinência para nós dos problemas de uma literatura menor: “como arrancar de sua própria língua uma literatura menor, capaz de escavar a linguagem e de fazê-la seguir por uma linha revolucionária sóbria? Como tornarse o nômade e o imigrado e o cigano de sua própria língua? Kafka diz: roubar a criança no berço, dançar na corda bamba. (...) Estar em sua própria língua como estrangeiro; “servir-se do polilingüismo em sua própria língua, fazer desta um uso menor ou intensivo”, seguindo “linhas de fuga criadoras”**...
