Abstract

O presente estudo pretende examinar, ainda que em breves linhas, a conformação participativa prevista pelo ideal democrático insculpido no texto constitucional e, nesse sentido, discutir as possibilidades reais de participação popular nos anseios e nas questões importantes de nosso país, partindo da premissa de que as imensas desigualdades sociais existentes no Brasil promovem também uma grande desigualdade de consciência cívica e política e, por conseguinte, um déficit de participação cidadã. Buscaremos examinar pensamentos alusivos ao exercício da cidadania e da participação democrática efetiva da população, com vistas à ampliação do debate democrático, inclusive no âmbito do Judiciário, tendo como horizonte a efetividade do ideal constitucional emancipador de concretização dos direitos fundamentais.
